Top 50 Albums of 2016

There has already been a lot said on how much of a no

good, dirty rotten year 2016 was. There is nothing that

I can say that will contribute anything positive to that

conversation, expect for this: 2016 was a pretty great year

in music. That shouldn't be lost in the swirl of celebrity deaths,

electrion results and personal challenges that have come with

the last 12 months.

With that said, I present my top 50 albums of 2016 list. An

important aspect of this year for me musically was it was the

year that I discovered and fell in love with modern Soul music,

so that love is reflected throughout this list. Not to worry, as

any listener of the podcast knows, I still firmly have my feet

planted in the worlds of punk and alternative (?) rock.

I hope that as you look at this list, you find a new band or two

to check out and hopefully fall in love with. That is why I do this

list and frankly, do the podcast. I have a personal mission of

connecting you, as a fan of music, to new tunes that will put a

smile on your face. So enjoy this list! Please feel free to email

me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to discuss your favorites
